Towns To Visit

Quimper (25km)

Dominated by the twin towers of the cathedral, the charm of the medieval centre is undisputed and is perfect for shopping, eating and just chilling out. Well worth visiting are the Jardins de la Retraite, a botanical garden protected by the ancient city ramparts, the Musee Des Beaux-Arts and the Chateau De Lanniron. Each Saturday morning there is a large market, great for snacking, local produce, gifts, and clothes

Audierne (25km)

Pretty harbour town 25 minutes drive from Douarnenez, offering a multitude of bars and restaurants along the port side strip.

Ever popular with children is the aqua show with its famous bird show which will impress anyone

Boats regularly leave Audierne for the Ile de Sein, an picturesque archipelago off the Pointe du Raz, awarded the honour of the Liberation, due to its war effort. Well worth a day out
